NABCOP 2017 Public and Patients Annual Report

This report is a summary version of the findings from the first year of work conducted by the National Audit of Breast Cancer in Older Patients (NABCOP). We wrote this for people with breast cancer and the public.

This audit was a collaboration between the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) and the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS), and was commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) as part of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme.

This report describes :

  1. What existing records show us about the surgery women with breast cancer have in England and Wales;
  2. How breast cancer services in England and Wales are organised; and
  3. What influences which treatments are offered to older women with breast cancer?

If you have any queries about the audit, please contact us.

The full version of the 2017 Annual Report was published on the 18 July 2017.
