Our priorities

Our priorities defined the aims of NABCOP.

The aim of NABCOP was to support NHS providers to improve the quality of hospital care for older patients with breast cancer. To carry out this aim, we published high quality, comparative information from all NHS providers of breast cancer care in England and Wales.

We supported NHS providers by:

  • Determining patterns of care and outcomes for women aged 70 years and over with breast cancer compared with women aged 50-69 years.
  • Publishing comparative information on the structures, processes and outcomes of breast cancer care delivered in England and Wales.
